We had a fabulous 4th celebrating with friends. We packed the day with all kinds of festivities trying to distract ourselves from the fact that there would be no fireworks. Stupid drought. Anyway, we started off the day at our ward's annual pancake breakfast. DELICIOUS! Then we headed over to the USAA grounds with our friends Collin, Laura, and Julia to play some frisbee and toss around the football. We didn't last too long because of the crazy heat. We all headed back to our apartment for a picnic at the pool. It was cute to see little Julia and Eli splashing in the pool. They are so sweet :-) The sun definitely wore out all of us- we headed home for nap time. We then spent a wonderful evening with our friends the Rushforths and Browns. Craig made dutch oven chicken and cobbler- Josh was in heaven! We ended the day with a Skype call with my mom and my best friend Abby. She was visiting Chi-town and staying with my parents. I swear they see my friends more than I do! It was great chatting with her- Eli was even showing off for her! I hope everyone else had a great time celebrating the wonderfully amazing country that we live in and all of our freedoms.
