Week 20

Well, I guess I'm half way there!  And I'm FINALLY starting to show.  I really thought something was wrong with the kid when we went in last week bc I'm so tiny.  Apparently he's fine and has plenty of room in there.  Glad he's comfortable.

20 weeks
In case seeing him in all his glory with the ultra sound wasn't enough proof that he's alive, we started to feel him move a week or so ago.  He's most active in the evenings.  So far he's not waking me up at night with his kicking- I guess he's still just a little guy :-)

drum roll please...

Dude is a ... BOY!!!  We couldn't be more excited.  He has a healthy heartbeat, weighs 11 oz. (which we've been told is normal) and has all his appendages.  So far things look pretty good.  I was a little worried because I am almost 20 weeks along and still barely showing.  I was afraid he was super tiny or something.  But I guess he's fine- he's all curled up inside of me.  He was doing some serious yoga poses during the ultra-sound yesterday.

Anyway... here's the proof:
Dude is mooning you here-
you're looking at his bum, his legs, and boy parts.
I believe his head is to the right, arms curled up by his face, and his feet are curled up by his head as well.  I told you he's good at yoga!
Apparently you can tell how cute he is in this picture.

my home away from home

I had the BEST weekend.  My grandpa turned 80 so most of the family gathered on Ocean Isle Beach, NC for a grand party!!  There were so many of us there.  It was wonderful to meet my grandpa's brothers and their wives and some of my dad's cousins.  I had a blast being on my beach again with my cousins and of course had SO much fun with my family. (For those of you that don't know... I spent the majority of my summers growing up living with my grandparents- going to the beach by day and working at the putt-putt by night.  I hadn't been back sinec I started college 6 years ago... It was a much needed trip).  The only bad part of the weekend was that my brother Dustin and his family, along with Josh, were not able to make it.  We missed them every moment, but still managed to have a little fun ;-)

Since my camera is broken I am relying on pictures from others.  Here are two shots my dad took at my Grandparent's mini-golf.  Each grandkid has an ice cream float named after them.

Brandon, my oldest brother, is pictured with Brandon's Brew (which we learned he doesn't even like!) and I am pictured with Lauryn's Lollypop (Vanilla ice cream & Sprite)- my favorite!!

Hopefully I will get some more pictures up so you can see just how much fun we had!

P.S.  Please excuse the lack of make-up and messy hair... we were in and out of the beach all weekend :-)
